I have been trying to access my company's exchange server through sync'em. However, so far unsuccessful. I tried to ask them the question from you: What is the the Windows domain and the URL that I can use to access the Exchange server via EWS (Exchange Web Services) CAS (Client Access Services) for my Exchange account with the username (note: this is EWA, not OWA)?"
And I got an answer: "Do you mean the Outlook Anywhere service?"
An honestly I don't know, do I?
Regards

No, Exchange Web Services is Exchange Web Services! Frankly, we're a little shocked at how much lack of knowledge there seems to be within the community of Exchange-server admins. It'll get really interesting with the next release of Microsoft's Entourage, since it's going to be updated to use Exchange Web Services, also. [getting off my soap-box, now]
For a basic technical reference, you can refer your admin(s) to Microsoft's Introduction to Exchange Web Services in Exchange 2007 and Exchange Web Services Reference (easily found by searching Microsoft's site for "exchange web services"). Exchange Web Services is also mentioned in Microsoft's Features of Exchange Server 2007 page (near the bottom in the "Extensibility and Programmability" section). That page also mentions "Outlook Anywhere" so they can compare. #;-)
2009-01-21: As a result of this, I've tried to improve/clarify the recommended question to ask the Exchange Server Administrator.
2009-02-24: BTW, version 1.25 beta adds Exchange autodiscovery support (i.e., which is likely what the Admin was referring to via the term "Outlook Anywhere service."

I've been getting the same error. Have never been able to test this product after 3 releases. I host with Intermedia. One of the largest hosted exchange providers out there.

I applaud your persistence. I think you'll find that we're similarly tenacious when it comes to finding and fixing problems.
Please review the FAQ on Exchange server connection errors. If you're still having problems, please create a support ticket so we can help, directly.
Alternatively, if you are in a position to switch Exchange hosting providers, you can see our Exchange Hosting Providers page for some providers that do work with Sync'Em. Similarly, if you've found success with another provider that's not listed, please contact us and let us know the particulars so we can add that provider to our providers page.
2009-01-03: Sync'Em versions 1.19 and newer have integrated support for capturing and sending us the diagnostic information if you get a failure when pressing the "Save and Test..." button while setting up your Exchange Access. If you choose use this feature, we'll try to help with any "getting connected to Exchange" issues (which, due to the myriad of ways an Exchange-server can be configured, is sometimes the most difficult part).

I am getting an error message on initial setup and can't figure out how to get past this point. I have web services enabled, I am using the correct username/password, and I have SSL enabled. How can I test this further to figure out what's going wrong or what I have set wrong?
Here is the error message I am getting:
"Connect failed.
Server Response: Error
org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: Transport error: 401 Error: Unauthorized."

We've heard about this from a few people and are trying to figure out what's going on. I've turned your posting into a proper support ticket so we can interact.
I'll post a follow-up comment (here) when we know more (and possibly also create a KB article).

Turns out that there are Exchange server configurations that do require the Windows Domain information to be explicitly supplied (we interpreted some of the technical documentation to imply differently).
The next release (which will also have support for basic calendar events) will allow you to supply the Windows Domain information as part of the setup. I'm also working on some video documents that will make it easier to understand all the setup "stuff."

Hi,
I have the same issue with Exchange 2007.
In my browser i could reach the Exchange WS interface.
I'd like to buy Sync'Em but now it is non-usable for me.
Thanks.

I have the same issue with Exchange 2007.
I'll create a support ticket so we can interact. We've seen a few of these and have a utility that can be run that will help us understand more about what's going on.
'Though Sync'Em works "out of the box" for most people, we think there may be something with the way some sites setup their domain structure. Whatever it is, with participation from some of y'all we'll be able to figure things out [and I've worked in hot 'n humid Houston, TX enough that I feel I can legitimately say "y'all"].
