Sync'Em Mac2Mac
Sync'Em Mac2Mac License
*Create sync setups to allow Sync'Em from other Macs to synchronize information from the local Mac:
- these information sources cannot sync with each other — they can only support syncing from Sync'Em on another Mac
- create the following kinds information sources:
- contacts that reside on that Mac — i.e., contacts in a specific Apple Address Book's contact Group** on the local Mac
- calendar events that reside on that Mac — i.e., events in a specific iCal calendar on the local Mac
- calendar tasks that reside on that Mac — i.e., tasks in a specific iCal calendar on the local Mac
- notes that reside on that Mac — i.e., notes in the Apple Mail application on the local Mac
*Not yet available in the current version. See the product roadmap for more information.
**Any contact entry in an Apple Address Book can appear in multiple Address Book groups (groups are actually "views" upon the collection of contacts). All contact entries appear in the "All" group. When you configure a Sync'Em information source to sync Apple Address Book Contacts, by default it will sync with the "All" Address Book group. Alternatively, you can specify an information source Filter* to sync with a specific Address Book Group (e.g., other than the "All" group). Contacts that are visible in both in the Address Book group being sync'd and in other Address Book Groups will be updated for all Address Book Groups in which they are presented (which is the same behavior as when you update contacts manually, via the Apple Address Book).
Sync'Em Requirements
Sync'Em requires:
- OS X 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6
- Exchange 2007 SP1 with WS (Web Services) enabled (which is the default)
- Note - 2009-09-15: Microsoft's Extended Protection for Authentication update prevents Sync'Em from authenticating. Currently we have no schedule for when this will be fixed.
- Exchange 2003 is not supported
- if the copyright date on the OWA (Outlook Web Access) login page indicates 2007, then it is probably Exchange 2007
Prior to buying, please download, install and try Sync'Em to verify that it functions in your environment — and if it doesn't, contact us and we'll help get it working.
