The purpose of this page is to provide a summary that allows everyone to benefit from various Sync'Em Users' experience using Sync'Em with various Exchange hosting service providers — i.e., those organizations who deliver hosted Exchange (Outlook /OWA /Entourage ) accounts .
Note : If you're using an Exchange Hosting provider and are currently on Exchange 2003, you'll find that most hosting providers do support Exchange 2007 but just don't upgrade customers unless asked to do so. If they don't support Exchange 2007, you can always switch to one of the "known good" providers below.
Current hosted Exchange providers experienced by Sync'Em users:
1&1 (1and1.com) — success reported and verified 1and1.com — User(s) reported success and we've verified it
One User commented:

I signed up for a 1and1 account and was able to connect and sync .
I left the domain blank and had to use the username from 1and1 (not the "Exchange Account " or "Sender E-mail Address").
I had some problems with special characters in my password but was able to get a password containing the two characters "^$" to work.

Oh gosh, it would have worked from the beginning ... it was the Exclamation Mark in the password ...

123Together.com — success reported 123Together.com — Company requested entry
This entry is a result of a request from 123Together.com that included "Being a Microsoft Gold Certified partner we would like to be listed on your Hosted Exchange providers list ... our support folks already recommended your solution to customers who use more than Exchange (Google apps etc.)"
It's nice to see an organization that's proactive.
Cortado — success reported Cortado — User(s) reported success
The User indicated "I got my account moved to 2007 this morning. Sync'Em is working fine now. I had to try some different URLs , but besides that it was really easy to set up.
Username and password are the same as for Outlook /IMAP. The URL to use is webmail.cortado.com/exchange and secure communications has to be enabled."
Infinitely Virtual — implied success Infinitely Virtual — Company request implies success
We had a request from a person using an email address at infintelyvirtual.com so we assume their hosted Exchange servers (and/or your own hosted Exchange server on their hardware) [virtually] works. #;-)
IT Solutions — zero/no success reported IT Solutions — One User reported zero/no success
The User tried every combination of username and Exchange server address that seemed possible to them and to us (based upon the setup information from IT Solutions) but always received an "AxisFault: Transport error: 401 Error: Unauthorized" error — i.e., it's not the correct WS Username/WS Password/Windows Domain combination.
The User was unsuccessful when calling IT Solutions for support so they moved to a different supplier and have been successful with them.
Independently, we also submitted a support request to IT Solutions querying whether they support Exchange Web Services , but we never received a response.
MailStreet — success reported and verified MailStreet — User(s) reported success and we've verified it
The User indicated "Setup was abreeze ..." but elaborated that he first had to determine the correct Exchange Server Address as follows:
Quote:
To get to Outlook Web Access , I had to follow this link:
http://www.mailstreet.com/web
After entering my domain into the form that appears on that page, I was redirected to:
https: //mail.mse21.exchange.ms/owa/...
I then took out the main bits of the URL , and ended up with:
mail.mse21.exchange.ms
[i.e., as the Exchange Server Address in the Exchange Access setup]
In summary:
It works. However the "Exchange Server Address" required by Sync'Em is the domain name you see once you have logged via OWA (Outlook Web Access ). At least this is true for accounts on a sub-domain of mailstreet.com domain.
You can also get accounts on your own domain. We don't know whether that affects things or not. If you know, let us know and we'll update this page.
Mobile Exchange (Arvato Systems) — success reported and verified Mobile Exchange — User(s) reported success and we've verified it
The setup we verified was based upon the supplied server address (services.messaging24.net in this case), user name and password (no Windows domain was required) — and it "just worked."

SherWeb — success reported and verified SherWeb — User(s) reported success and we've verified it

The Message Center — zero/no success reported The Message Center — One User reported zero/no success
The User tried every combination of username and Exchange server address that seemed possible to them and some additional ones suggested by us but always received an "org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: Exchange Web Services are not currently available for this mailbox because it could not determine the Client Access Services Server to use for the mailbox" error — which probably means that Exchange Web Services are either not enabled or that that account did not have access to them.
Multiple days after opening a service ticket with The Message Center, the User sent us a message that included:
Quote:
I want to thank you for everything, After some disappointing exchanges with tech support at themessagecenter.com I gave up on them. Their communication with me made it clear that they were not interested in listening to my questions let alone trying to help me find a solution. I have changed service providers to mailstreet and am up and syncing . I just have to iron out some time zone issues.
Thanks for your help, you guys are great. I'll be purchasing a license next week.
